Time flies, the charity activities between Kingdom University and Leshi Chong Central School in Bozhu Town, Wenshan City, Yunnan Province have lasted for four years, from the first time Kingdom University visited the school for a field trip in November 2017; to the "Qian Building" in June 2018 "The groundbreaking ceremony, visiting the families of outstanding students and sponsoring 60 outstanding students; then the completion and move-in of the "Qian Building" in 2019, and the summer camp for outstanding students in Lexichong... This deep friendship is maintained between Qian University and the school.

Three years after the "2018 Wenshan Charity Trip", nine volunteers from Kingdom University set foot on the hot land of Wenshan, Yunnan again on June 26, 2021.

Bright and tidy classrooms and dormitories

The changes in the countryside in the past three years are also gratifying. The local poverty alleviation policy has also been implemented. The most significant thing is that most of the dilapidated small mud houses have now been transformed into two-story buildings. Although the exterior walls and rooms are not decorated, there is a qualitative improvement compared with the previous dilapidated houses that were full of leaks.

The children’s tender faces, innocent eyes, and bright smiles deeply affected us. They are diligent and studious, love reading and writing; they are kind and hard-working, and they always share the household and farm work with their parents in a sensible way after studying. They firmly believe in studying hard, set the goal of passing high school and college, and cherish the ideal of becoming teachers and doctors.……

Zou GuoliShe is a left-behind child. Her parents and two brothers have been working away from home for a long time. Her home is on a remote hillside. It is unbelievable that a teenage girl lives alone."I sometimes feel very lonely when I am alone at home. When I am scared at night, I will go to my uncle's house to stay. Usually I like to invite my friends nearby to accompany me. When I miss my parents, I will video chat with them!" A simple sentence reveals the inner desire for care. But she is independent, brave, polite and sensible. She serves as monitor at school and helps her grandmother with farm work at home.

Yang ZhitaoDuring the conversation, he was very shy, but he loved to smile and kept asking us to eat the plums he picked at home. My parents work in Guangdong all year round, and my brother is a high school student in Wenshan.They live with their 80-year-old grandfather who has heart disease and can cook, wash clothes and other household chores. He suffers from epilepsy and is undergoing medical examination at Wenshan Hospital. He is worried that his condition will affect his studies. But he was not discouraged. His ideal was to study medicine and relieve himself and others from illness.

Xiong GuolanHer two brothers work in other places to support the family, and her parents work at home to farm. The three nieces of the second brother's family live with them and usually sleep in the same bed with her. In sixth grade, when her parents were away, she cooked meals for her three nieces and took care of their daily life. Her thin body is full of positive energy. When we visited her, she was ill but still did not forget to study. She told us that she would follow the teacher's instructions and study hard, and she would never drop out of school!

Wang JinkunThe most common thing I do after school is feed the cows. At homeTwo of the seven cows are bullfights, and it is a local custom to hold bullfighting competitions on major festivals. He thinks bullfighting is too cruel, and sometimes cows die because of the competition. He is kind and sunny and willing to share with others! When talking about his hobbies, he excitedly climbed to the roof and introduced the more than 40 pots of orchids of various sizes he had raised. He dug them one by one from the mountain and raised them. When he raised too many, he gave them away to others. His face was filled with pride.

Wang WenfangHer confident and sunny smile infects those around her. She is determined to study and enter college. When she talks about being number one in the class, she is naturally and purely proud. As a child from a mountainous area, it is really rare to like English! She also likes music and has a small electronic keyboard at home. She wants to be admitted to the Shanghai Theater Academy in the future!

Zhang JieThe economic conditions at home were very poor and there was no furniture at home, but she was still positive, enthusiastic and confident. She still persisted in her dream of dancing even without a mobile phone and chose to choreograph by herself or go to her classmates' homes to learn dancing.

Wei YongweiLuoluo is generous and dares to express herself. She actively shares her essay "Let the True Feelings Reveal", and her gratitude and respect for her mother is revealed between the lines. My mother took care of the housework and farm work, and sometimes went out to do odd jobs, but she took good care of the three siblings and kept the house clean. It was this kind of warm maternal love that made her self-disciplined, confident and self-reliant.

Simple and hard-working parents

Due to the lack of material conditions in mountain villages, the family's main source of income comes from growing crops such as peppers and corn, raising pigs, cattle and other livestock, or doing odd jobs outside the home. What moves us is that parents work hard for food and clothing every day, but they attach great importance to their children's education and work tirelessly and painstakingly to raise their children to grow up healthily and provide for them to study and study.

Xiao HuangdaThe father raises three children by himself and cannot go out to work. His main income comes from growing marigolds, peppers and other crops. The house is dark and dilapidated, and the roof leaks. Even though the conditions were difficult, he still insisted that his three children study hard. Dad couldn't help but shed tears at the hardship and determination.

Father's love is like a mountain

Every new semester, in order for the children to continue studying, the family always has to sell grain, cattle, pigs and other livestock in exchange for the children's tuition fees. Zhang Chaofeng and Zhang Yan’s parents said that even if they took out loans, they still needed to finance their children’s studies."No matter how poor you are, you can't afford education."

They try their best to create better learning conditions for students. Their educational philosophy and dedicated professionalism deserve our respect.

Luo ShaohaiThe principal is personally involved in school affairs and is also involved in front-line classroom teaching. Two generations of people in Bozhu Town have become his students! He teaches by words and deeds, and his wife, brother and other relatives are all teachers at Leshi Chong Central School, which is really admirable.
