In 2014, my country's new energy vehicle sales reached a record high of nearly 75,000 vehicles. In the first half of this year, my country's new energy vehicle production reached 78,500 units, a three-fold increase from last year. That just topped June’s production of 2.5 million.

In 2014, the central and local governments introduced a number of new energy vehicles to promote policies. In response to the long-standing problem of charging piles, Changchun City announced the "Implementation Plan for the Promotion and Use of New Energy Vehicles" in 2014, which clearly stipulates that the public who purchase new energy vehicles and companies with long-term fixed parking spaces, power supply and properties should provide necessary services for the installation of charging facilities for vehicles. At the same time, financial subsidies of no more than 200 million will be provided for charging infrastructure. The entire plan plans to promote 5,000 new energy vehicles in Changchun.

In cities such as Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Beijing, local governments have also introduced infrastructure construction policies related to new energy vehicles. In accordance with the regulations of Guangzhou City, new residential areas and social parking lots will be built, and charging facilities shall be constructed or reserved at a ratio of no less than 18% of the planned parking rate.

Although the market is also facing bottlenecks and other issues that consumers are concerned about, with the introduction of a number of supportive policies, the launch of a number of new models, and the continuous improvement of charging facilities, many industry insiders believe that the development of new energy vehicles in China is entering a virtuous cycle.
